Haul

I went shopping recently and picked up something that i have seen alot of things about within beauty and somehthings that i just wanted to buy :)

I picked up two Barry M nail paints from Superdrug...
The first one that i picked up was number 322 which is one of the crackle effect nail polishs i never tried one of these types of nail polishes before so im interested to see how they work and how it looks i no that im late on the crackle efffects but that never bothers me. This is colour is a dark purple with i slight glitter in it. The second nail polish that i picked up from Barry M was number 308 and its called Berry I/C which i didnt quite understand what the I/C meant but i think it might be a shot way of writing ice cream, this colour is anouther purple but this one is a pastle purple and doesnt have any shimmer or glitter. Also from Superdrug i picked up a different foundation because i always like to change to see if i can find a better one the one i picked up is from Rimmel London and its the Stay Matte foundation i got mine in the colour 300 Natural Beige, ive used this foundation before but ages ago so i thought that i would give it anouther go.

From Boots i picked up some Aussie products as i have always heard good things about the company and i was looking for a new shampoo because once i finish a bottle i always like to change because with some i find that my hair just gets use to it, also Boots were having a 3 for £10 deal on Aussie products so i thought it would be a great chance to try some so i picked up the 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor, which is a deep condititoning treatment for dry and damage hair. Also i picked up two of the Aussome Volume 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, i dont normally tend to go for 2 in 1's because i find they dont work as well but since i brought the deep conditioner i thought that it wouldnt matter so much and ive used this for a couple of times and i love the way it leaves my hair.

Thats everything i got i might do a review on the few things i did get after i have used them for a while.

2011 Favourite's

So 2011 has been long over and i decided to do a post on the products that i found myself always using throughout 2011 and re buying number of times.  I have chosen 8 different categories in each of these i have chosen two products that I've used throughout the year of 2011.

Concealer...
Miss Sporty So Clear Cover Stick
Ive been using this concealer for years and love it, i have mine in the colour 1 which is the lightest as i find that it works best for me, its a thick high coverage concealer which i like to use on anymore pigmented blemishes, i like the apply this before my foundation as i find for me it give the best finish, i also find that this product last for ages and for a great bonus this product only costs £1.99 so i find it such a bargain i buy mine from superdrug but when looking on their website their was no sign of this product.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
I love to use this concealer under my eyes when they are looking darker than normal, also because i apply this after my foundation i also like to add it to any blemishes that has not been covered from the foundation, this has a great consistency. i use my in medium as i find that it is the best match for me, this product costs £3.69 from boots which is a bargain for such a great product.

                    Foundation...
                Revlon Colourstay Foundation
I discovered this foundation in 2011 and i absolutely loved it every since the day i brought it, i use colour 200 and just find it suit my skin tone perfectly the foundation covers and last throughout my day. This foundation costs £12.49 and i buy mine from superdrug. I have a full review on this is you want to read more.

Max Factor Lasting Performance Foundation
I love using this foundation i have mine in the colour 109 which is natural bronzer this colour fits my skin well and has the slightest bit dark which works as i can also use it like a bronzer which i honestly don't tend to where but i find the colour gives the effect i am, i tend to where this foundation when i feel like i can get away with less coverage as i find that is coverage is great but not as high as i would like so i like to use it on the days where i feel like my skin will still look good, i find that it still covers any smaller blemishes that i have and last for a long time on my skin. I buy mine from superdrug and it cost £9.99 which i think is a great price.

                                              Powder...
                                            Rimmel Stay Mette
I love love love this powder, i use mine in number 1 which is transparent as then i find that it cant add any of that cakey look because it doesn't add any colour to my skin. I love how it makes my foundation look as it gets rid of my shine and helps it last for longer. I buy mine from superdrug and it costs £3.99 which i think is an amazing price for such a great product.
Blusher...
I love using this product as a blusher as i find that it give the most natural glow which i can use for day to day, this product has also lasted me ages I've not yet finished the one that I'm using which I've had since before the start of 2011, I'm not sure on the colour of mine as the label has completely rubbed off but its the same colour as shown in the image. I no i brought mine from superdrug and it costs £3.99 which i think is a great price.
Mascara...
I have to say that this is properly my favourite mascara EVER which for me is something because i tend to layer my mascara as i love the big big eye lash look. This mascara makes my lashes so long and thick and if you add a few layers you do get that false lash look which i love doing, i buy mine from superdrug in the pink bottle because it just looks pretty haha and it costs £10.99.
Lips...
I Love Strawberry's and Milkshake
I love using this product on the days that i don't want to apply any lipstick or lip gloss i just want something that will look nice and be soft and moisturising to my lips and this product does that for me. I love how it has the tiniest bit of colour to it and the smell is too die for. Another great thing about this product is it only cost 99p which is AMAZING, the only place I've ever seen the I Love products is superdrug in the shower section.
Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick
I don't tend to ever where lipstick but when i do it will be this colour which is A12 Sugar plum ice, this is such a moisturising lipstick which makes me love it and i love the colour as its a neutral colour but has a pinkie tint to it. I'm not sure where mine is from but looking on the superdrug website i couldn't find this line and the boots do sell it but not the colour so I'm not sure where you can get it but this line costs £5.19 from boots.
Hair...
I love using this hair spray as i find that it gives great hold to the hair when needed but can be brushed out so easily, i use this all the time even if I'm hair straight because i like to make sure it stays straight and it doesn't make my hair hard or stiff. I buy mine from boots and it costs £2.69.
This is the only heat defence that I've ever used i use this just before i dry my hair and anytime that I'm apply heat with either straightening or curling my hair. I love the smell that this has and it helps to protect my hair. I buy mine from boots and it costs £4.99.
Perfume...
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum 50ml
This has been one of my favourite perfumes for probably about 2 years and i just love the smell off it, i don't now how to describe perfume but on the Dior website it says that this perfume is the sharp charm of fresh, fruity, citrus patchouli into blossoming floral noted, then on to a noble elegance of patchouli, before finally concluding with a musk. To me that means nothing but if it does to some then that's what it smells of, I'm not sure where mines brought as my mum buys mine each of my birthdays but for the 50ml which i have it costs £60.50 from boots.
So they are my main favourites that I've used throughout 2011.

Eye Liners

I brought this set of eye liners from Superdrug a couple of weeks ago in the gift section and thought that I would buy them as a gift for someone but ended up keeping them for myself as I got something else. They were under the brand Studio and having looked on the Superdrug website I cant seem to find them anymore but can find some other products from them which I haven't tried.

The product that I picked up was an eye liner set as I already said in total their was 7 different eye liners in the set and im not sure on the price but they were no more than £10, which I think is a great price. The 7 different eye liners that you get in this set are Caviar Black, Winter White, Summer Green, Blue Velvet, Purple Silk, Silver Moonbeam and Gold Ingot.
Colours from left to right... Blue Velvet, Summer Green, Purple Silk, Gold Ingot,
Silver Moonbeam, Caviar Black and Winter White
Each of the eye liners i personally think have great pay off and all off the colour by the black and the white have some shimmer and make them look slightly metallic which I like as most of the coloured eye liners that I own do not have any shimmer to them.I love these eye liners for using on my top lash line or on my bottom lash line however, I will say though that if you were to use them on the water line you do have to keep applying it a bit when first applying as the colour pay off is not as good as it is too skin which is not a problem for me as I never put coloured eye liner on my water line but I have tried using the winter white one which I did find that took a while to get good colour pay off when applying to my water line.

Overall if these are the sort of thing that you would use and you can find them i think they are great quality and price

Nail Polish

So 2011 is nearly over and i no everyone says this but this year has gone fast so since its nearly the end of the year i thought i would share with you my 10 favourite nail polish of 2011, but i cheated and made it 12 as two are base/top coats so i thought that i would get away with it. I haven't put them in any order as i found it too hard to pick.
So for my clear base/top coat my favourites of 2011 have been two from Sally Hansen one is the
is the Diamond Shine and the second one is the Hard as Nails with Nylon, both of these i like as i find that they make my nail polish look nicer.
Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails with Nylon

Sally Hansen- Diamond Shine

So now on the my 10 favourite nail polishes for 2011.
The first one is from Barry M and it is one of their nail paints in the colour 'Red Glitter' 150 this has been a new favourite of mine this year as i have used started using it again these last couple of months to get me in the Christmas mood and it has defiantly helped i find that i dont need to apply a red nail polish underneath this as after two coats of this it look amazing the only problem i have with this nail polish and any glittery nail polish is that it is a nightmare to get off.
Barry M- Red Glitter 150
Another Barry M favourite is 'Peach Melba' 318, i love this colour in the summer when i have a tan because i find that it just makes my tan look even better, this colour does not have any shimmer or glitter in it so its great  for everyday wear and looks great with what ever you wear.
Barry M- Peach Melba 318
Another colour that has been a favourite this year is one by Rimmel London and its one of the I Love Lasting Finish nail polishes i have mine in 'Pop!' 265 i also love this colour is the summer as it is a bright orange that is a suitable colour of orange to wear as i sometimes find that orange nail polish does not look to nice on my nails, this has not shimmer or glitter inside it.
Rimmel London I love lasting finish- Pop! 265
The fourth nail polish is one by 17 in the lasting fix line its in the colour 'Pink Grapefruit' this is a pink as you can tell by the name i dont tend to like to wear pink nail polish for some reason but this one i love as i find that it is not to baby pink and is not to in your face, i also love wearing this colour in the summer as it is a fun colour however i tend to wear it all year round, this colour also like the last few does not have any shimmer or glitter in it.
17 Lasting fix- Pink Grapefruit
Half way their so this one doesn't really have a name as i got it in a Charlie set which is typically a perfume sprays, anyway this colour i love love love on my toes when i had a tan because it looks amazing the colour i would say is in-between a orange and a peach colour, but honestly its such an amazing colour and this is one of the nail polishes that im going to be sad when it runs out. This like the rest has no shimmer or glitter.

Also another one from the Charlie set which i have no name for is a colour that i like to wear all year round its in-between a purple and a pink but its like a creamy colour its weird so look at but i love to wear this colour as i just like the way it look, it also has no shimmer and glitter.

The seventh one is by 17 in the fast finish line and its in the colour 'Peacock' i tend to wear this colour most time of the year except summer as it is a darker colour but it is one that i love its a mixture between blue and green with a little bit a silver and gold depending how the light is shinning onto it, this nail polish has a lot of shimmer which look slightly different colours depending how you look at it.
17 Fast Finish- Peacock
Another one of my favourites for this year is one that ive probably worn the most throughout the whole year as it i tend to wear it when i dont want any colour on just to make my nails look more nice its one my No7 and its one of their Stay Perfect and its in the colour 'Nougat' 10
the easiest way to tell you what this colour is, is by saying the colour of your nail its doesn't have any shimmer or glitter. But i just love wearing this so that my nails look nicer when i cant be bothered to paint them.
No7 Stay Perfect- Nougat 10
Another colour which i tend to use is i cant be bothered to paint my nails is another one by Sally Hansen from the Hard as Nails and its in the colour 'Sheerly Opal' this is a very similar colour to the last one except this one has blue and purple reflex when you look at it in some light which i like as it can add something, if like i said cant be bothered to paint my nails, but also i find that i sometimes apply this over different nail polishes.
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails- Sheerly Opal

Last but not least one of my favourites for 2011 is one by Accessorize this one doesn't have a name because i got it in a set last Christmas i think along with a load of other mini nail polish, anyway this is a basic silver colour and i love wearing this most of the year round and these last few months, their is nothing special and different about this silver but its the only silver nail polish i own this doesn't have any glitter in but it does have some shimmer.

Hope you enjoyed :)

Revlon ColorStay

So this is my first post I hope you enjoy.

I brought this foundation about 3 months ago, after reading lots of good review about it and it did not disappoint me.

In the whole line their are two different ones you can buy that are formulated for your skin either the one for combination/oily or the one which I went for which is the normal/dry skin, each of the two have a slightly different bottle as combination/oily skin one comes with a black top and the normal/dry skin one came with a clear with black underneath which I did not realised until after buying the foundation as I would have picked the other due to my skin being slightly oily. Each of them come with 9 shades I believe which I think is a okay
selection as it does mean you will be able to find a colour to suit your skin.

REVLON® COLORSTAY™ MAKEUP FOR COMBINATION/OILY SKIN
I picked mine up at Superdrug and it cost me £12.49 for a 30ml bottle, the colour that I went for was 200 nude and I found that this colour fitted my skin perfectly, I applied my with a foundation brush and found that it left skin looking flawless. It gave me a medium coverage which I found good and great for everyday use since im in school and it manage to cover up any problems that I had without using concealer most of the time. I would apply mine in the morning around 8m and needed it to last for around 4pm I found that by this time my foundation still looked good but you could see that it had worn a little, the foundation says that it will last up to 16 hours so I wouldn't no whether it lasts that long as I only wear mine for around 8, however if I do want to wear it after this to go out I do find myself reapplying it as I find that it makes the foundation look better.

The packaging for the bottle is glass and has a screw lid which then allows you to pour out your foundation I dont tend to like foundations like this as I find that sometimes I end up with too much foundation or when I get to the end I can't get what is left out. Also I can be quite clumsy and so dont like glass bottles as I always manage to drop them and if I do and they brake which means ive wasted product lucky I didnt manage to do that with this foundation but I did manage to drop it and found that it left a crack in the lid and ended up the the foundation leaking into the lid and wasting some of the product.

Overall I do like this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a foundation that wants a medium coverage and last for a good amount of time.

Hope this was of some help :)
